Danielle Baron is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET). Danielle Baron professional expertise includes strategy, branding, marketing, multicultural communications & diversity outreach, change management, and diversity, equity & inclusion. She loves new challenges because they always bring endless opportunities to learn, innovate, and, occasionally, challenge the status quo. She thrives in diverse and multicultural environments where entrepreneurship and flexibility are valued. As a manager, I am energized by working and learning from my team. My peers have often described me as dynamic, driven, and optimistic.

I am always looking to expand my horizons and over the course of my career, I have worked in government, nonprofit and private organizations in the United States, Europe and Latin America. All these different experiences have shaped my worldview and taught me to be flexible, empathetic and focused at the same time.

As the lead strategist at ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in STEM disciplines, I led the organization through an award-winning rebranding initiative. As CMO, I oversaw the planning, development and execution of the organization’s brand, global marketing, communications and public relations strategies. I was also responsible for the overhaul of the organization’s flagship event, the ABET Symposium, increasing attendance by nearly 80%.

At ABET, our approach, the standards we set and the quality we guarantee, inspires confidence in those who aim to build a better world — one that is safer, more efficient, more comfortable and more sustainable. We accredit college and university programs in the disciplines of applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology at the associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree levels.
