GENE BURNER: President, Manufacturers’ Alliance of Maryland

Gene Burner is the President of Manufacturers’ Alliance of Maryland. A coalition of manufacturers making great products and committed to Maryland’s manufacturing growth and economy. For more than 21 years, MAM has been an important voice and advocate in Annapolis on corporate taxes, workforce development, and ensuring Maryland remains a strong home to the manufacturing industry.

The highest employment of 2020 in Maryland was in the computer and electronic products industry (20,134 jobs), followed by food manufacturing (17,008 jobs), chemical manufacturing (13,807 jobs), and fabricated metal products (7,879 jobs).
