Randy Zook is the President & CEO of Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA and the Associated Industries of Arkansas. Zook is the former president and CEO of the Atlantic Envelope Company in Atlanta, a role he filled from 1989 to 2004.
He has worked as the chair of the Central Ozarks Task force for Economic Development and as part of the Melbourne Airport Commission in addition to his role at the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce. Zook is married to Diane Zook, a member of the Arkansas Board of Education.
According to the Times Record, Zook said that he and the chamber had lobbied for almost 10 years to get the capital gains tax reduced: “We were able to restore that so that at the end of the day, you’ll have a 50 percent reduction in capital gains with a cap of $10 million. That was an important bill and we got that done.
The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Arkansas are private, non-profit corporations that are totally funded by dues from our members. Each organization has its own officers and its own directors, but both share headquarters and professional staff in Little Rock.
