CHUCK GRIER: Chairman Kansas Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Chuck Grier is the Chairman of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  After graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science, he began his career as a field engineer. Chuck then worked his way to project manager with a separate company before taking a position as general manager at Utility Contractors of Oklahoma, Inc.

He also graduated as a Commissioned Officer in the USAR-COE and spent eight years as a reserve combat engineer officer. Chuck is also a past president of state chapters of the Associated General Contractors of America (in Kansas and Oklahoma).

Within AGC of America, Chuck has served on several committees and is a Lifetime National Director. In 2013, Chuck co-authored a paper titled, “Construction Kata: Adapting Toyota Kata to a Lean Construction Project Production System.”

The Kansas Manufacturing Council or KMC is the leading advocacy organization for Kansas manufacturers and companies serving manufacturers, representing small and large manufacturers across the state. The mission of KMC is to provide knowledge, resources and support in order to create a stronger and more prosperous manufacturing sector. Through the Kansas Chamber, KMC has a powerful voice for the state’s manufacturing community to advocate for a policy agenda that helps manufacturers compete in the global economy and create jobs across Kansas.
