Valerie Hutnan is the Executive Director of the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME). Valerie Hutnan has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Valerie is currently the Executive Director at SNAME since February 2020.

Prior to that, she served as the Interim Executive Director at SNAME and also held positions as Director of Marketing and Communications and Content Manager at the same company. Before joining SNAME, Valerie was self-employed as a Photographer and Events Consultant starting from January 2009. Valerie also worked as the Vice President at the Washington Speakers Bureau from December 1998 to January 2009.
