RICHARD ANTHONY: Director National Recycling Coalition (NRC)

Richard Anthony is the Director of the National Recycling Coalition (NRC). Richard V. Anthony is volunteer board member of ZWIA who began his career in Public Administration in 1971 as a manager of the California State University Long Beach Recycling Center. He received a MS in Public Administration in 1974.

Mr. Anthony has worked his entire career in environmental program management positions. He is an internationally recognized and published expert in the area of Resource Management using the Zero Waste Systems approach. Richard Anthony is a founder and member of the Board of Directors of the California Resource Recovery Association, the Grassroots Recycling Network, the Zero Waste International Alliance, the USA National Recycling Coalition.

I helped start the NRC and served on the Board from 1980 – 1993.I have served of The California Resource Recovery Board for over 40 years.I feel that I can add some insights and maybe guidance to the NRC as I wind down my career.I have been published and taught classes at community college.I am a SME on Recycling History.

The National Recycling Coalition is a non-profit organization that is focused on the promotion and enhancement of recycling in the United States. We are 23-affiliated recycling organizations strong, and have a network of more than 6,000 members that extends across waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting.
