Cody Uhing is the Director of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). As a member of the public affairs team, Uhing will serve as the point of contact for media inquiries and work closely with association members to help tell the story of medtech’s impact on patients’ lives and highlight the industry’s crucial role in our health care system.
Prior to joining AdvaMed, Uhing oversaw media relations for the First Five Years Fund, a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., focused on advocating for federal early learning and child care programs, and served as communications director for Congressman Tom O’Halleran (D-Ariz.) and Congressman Brad Ashford (D-Neb.). Cody is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with degrees in economics and political science.
Cody’s experience both in Congress and in advocacy will be a great asset to AdvaMed’s work promoting the profound impact medical technology innovation has on patients’ lives,” said Jim Jeffries, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs. “We welcome him to the team and look forward to working with him.
