Ashley Elzinga is the Director of the Food Service and Packaging Institute (FPI). The trade association for the North American foodservice packaging industry. At FPI, her work primarily focuses around communications, outreach and FPI’s recovery efforts. Prior to joining the association, she worked in the sustainability and environmental fields.
Foodservice packaging primarily includes single-use products such as cups (beverage and portion), plates, platters, bowls, trays, beverage carriers, bags (single portion and carry-out), containers, lids and domes, wraps, straws, cutlery and utensils for the service and/or packaging of prepared foods and beverages in foodservice establishments.
Established in 1933, the Foodservice Packaging Institute is the trade association for the foodservice packaging industry in North America.
