LAKISHA MILLER: Executive Director & CEO Rubber Division, American Chemical Society (ACS)

Lakisha Miller is the Executive Director & CEO of the Rubber Division, American Chemical Society (ACS). Lakisha joined Rubber Division, ACS in July 2007. In January 2020, she was promoted to Executive Director & CEO. Lakisha earned her B.S. in Accounting from The University of Akron. In her previous role as the Division’s Director of Finance & Administration that she held for over 12 years, Lakisha’s responsibilities included the day-to-day financial management of the Rubber Division, as well as long-term planning and reporting.

Lakisha is the staff liaison to the Steering, Executive, Nominating and Subdivision Advisory Committees. Her background includes Summit County Children Services, the U.S. Air Force, and owning and operating her own tax and accounting service where she specialized in non-profits. She currently sits on the boards of Harmony House, Inc. and Greenleaf Family Center.

Lakisha is responsible for providing daily operational leadership, as well as serving as a spokesperson, developing partnerships with other organizations and maintaining good communications with the Executive Committee, Rubber Groups and the American Chemical Society. Lakisha is the staff liaison to the Steering, Executive and Nominating.

Rubber Division, ACS is one of 32 divisions of the American Chemical Society (ACS). We are an international association of chemists, engineers, technicians, scientists, educators, plant managers, sales and marketing professionals and others in the rubber, polymer or related fields within industry, academia and government. We work to educate, connect and grow the evolving elastomer industry through educational, technical, business and networking activities. Rubber Division, ACS is over 100 years old!
