Dr. Zhupanska is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona. She began her career at the University of Florida and worked at the University of Iowa before joining the University of Arizona in 2016.
Her expertise and research interests are in the mechanics of solids and composite materials with a particular emphasis on multiphysics problems. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and is currently the Vice President of the American Society for Composites.
For over 30 years, the American Society for Composites (ASC) has been an organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and technology of composite materials and structures.
As an all-volunteer group composed of dedicated professionals in academia, industry, national laboratories, and federal agencies, we aim to serve as the pre-eminent focal point for the technical exchange of ideas, building networks and relationships, and facilitating communication amongst individuals having a mutual interest in composites.
While this is primarily achieved through the Society’s annual technical conference, other opportunities to participate and be involved exist through the Technical Divisions, organization of conference sessions, and via service in leadership positions. Please join in the continued advancement of your Society which exists to serve you and the needs of the greater composites community.
