ALISON KEANE: President & CEO Flexible Packaging Association (FPA)

Alison Keane is the President and CEO of the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) as of Oct. 3. Alison previously served as the VP for government affairs and industry programs with the American Coatings Association, where she was responsible for advocacy on behalf of the paint and coating industry in the U.S.

The FPA State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report (SOI) is published annually and is considered by many to be a definitive source of information for anyone involved in the converting, supplying, purchasing, tracking, reporting on or investing in the flexible packaging industry. The contents of the SOI provide a comprehensive view of the total U.S. packaging and flexible packaging segment of the industry: data on industry growth, mergers and acquisitions, the U.S. and global flexible packaging industries, imports and exports, issues and drivers of flexible packaging and key expense information. In addition, the SOI provides a breakdown of the flexible packaging industry by major end-use segment including retail food and non-food, institutional food and non-food, industrial applications. Medical and pharmaceuticals, and consumer products.

We are extremely excited to have Alison join our organization. Her vast experience working closely with association members in many areas including environmental issues and government relations will be key to the continued success of the FPA,” said Stan Bikulege, chairman and CEO of NOVOLEX and FPA chairman of the board. “We want to thank retiring President and CEO Marla Donahue for the leadership she has given the FPA over the past 16 years.

Over the last few years, FPA has also conducted a non-member outreach survey to gather meaningful data from non-members in the industry to add additional insight and perspective. Beyond the member and non-member survey information, FPA also utilizes U.S. Census Bureau, Foreign Trade Division, Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Departments of Labor and Commerce, industry analysts, investment banking reports and other authoritative sources to provide a more complete and insightful picture of the flexible packaging industry. The State of the Industry Report is available to FPA members free of charge and can be purchased by non-members for $4,500.
